On Mac's side, the interface looks WAY cooler than Windows. That's about it.
On Windows' side, there are infinitely more compatible programs with it. There many programs that simply can't function on a Mac. However, most major video games and programs work with Mac, except all Microsoft programs like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Another plus is how the Windows OS can be loaded onto any computer, where the only way you can legally get the a Mac OS is by purchasing a system that has the Mac OS pre-loaded, meaning that not only do you have to buy Apple's OS, you also have to buy their extremely overpriced hardware with it. All the other features of Windows and Mac copy each other almost verbatim.
Once again the deciding argument comes down to money. If you have plenty of cash and you like Macintosh better, then by all means, buy it. BUT, Windows is much more affordable for those who don't have a $1500+ budget.
Amaia-I think that was a really good argument. I personally think that Macs are better as personal computers because they are much more compatable with downloading pictures, working with iTunes, and have a better fomat for viewing things like facebook and tumbler. On the other hand though, if you need your computer for work, than I personally would get a Windows because, as you said, it is more compatable with Mirosoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel and things of that nature. ReplyDeleteI am surprised that you like windows more than mac. I think it matters what kind of Windows computer it is. I think that most macs are better than windoes because of the tools you can use and how easy it is to download music pictures ECT. Very good job though

ReplyDeleteI've had a windows and a mac before and i prefer macs. They're easy to use than windows and a lot faster than windows in my opinion.
